Foreword
In this binder you will find a collection of reflection letters that I have written. Originally, these reflection letters were written for the members of the Scandinavian Leadership Forum on www.scandinavianleadership.com. New letters are published on a regular basis.
The Forum today consists of more than 11 000 members from all over the world. They all share an interest in the philosophy of Scandinavian Leadership.
Over the years the reflection letters have proven valuable as reflection tools in assignments with Lots® for leader, team development and business development. Choose a reflection letter suitable for the situation and/or for the different steps of the process of Lots®, and it will contribute to increased consciousness of those leaders who want to succeed in their leadership.
I am convinced that we all will get a good return on reflection (RoR) and I hope that this binder, with its provocations, will inspire you in your own reflections, as well as your participants.

Hans Akerblom
Hans Akerblom´s interest in leadership was established early in his career. After his studies at the University of Uppsala he got the opportunity to develop and lead Pharmacia Ophthalmics, a company that, with the product Healon®, revolutionized eye surgery in the world. The visco-elastic material to produce Healon® is extracted from rooster combs and therefore the venture was known as the Rooster Comb Project. People with cataracts got their vision back in surgery made safer and easier with Healon® and with the help of a plastic lens. The success with Healon® was also due to the use of the business development process and tool called Lots®, which was used to plan, implement and follow-up the project/business. Hans Akerblom created Lots® in the early seventies and has during the years continued to develop the concept and tool. Lots® is today a successful tool for business/operations/projects development in many types of companies and organizations.
Hans Akerblom has also created the tool Mindo®. Mindo® is a result of many years of experiences and insights he gained as facilitator in different management teams and organizations. He realized that the quality of the decisions taken by management teams, to a great extent depended on the consciousness level of every member of the team. By being conscious about how we, ourselves, function it becomes easier to make the right decisions. Mindo® works with the individual as well as with the team in focus. Hans Akerblom made great use of his studies in sociology and psychology when he created Mindo®.
Hans Akerblom is a member of the Scandinavian Leadership, which has customers in over 50 countries. During 37 years more than 500,000 have used and developed themselves as leaders and co-workers with the help of Lots® and Mindo®. Over 3,000 have been certified to facilitate and develop other leaders and co-workers.
