Unibet works with Lots®

Unibet reported that they more than doubled their profit for the first three months of 2006. There are currently over 190.000 people gambling on Unibet on a regular basis. Unibet is an international gambling company competing with many European gambling monopolies from their base in London. Petter Nylander, CEO of Unibet, visited the Scandinavian Leadership meeting and presented a highly appreciated lecture.

 

What is leadership?
I like to inspire others, Petter says. For me leadership is about passion. In a way, that is enough. The more passion you have, the more successful you will be. And the most passionate person wins in the long run.

 

In many countries we talk about gambling abuse. How do you cope with that in Unibet?
We are aware of the problem. Around three percent of our clients do have gambling problems. We monitor our clients to see who is in the risk zone, and people that know that they have problems can limit their account every month.

 

Why do people gamble?
Betting adds an extra spice when you are watching a football game or other sporting event. It gives people joy and excitement in their daily life.

 

Is Unibet working with Lots®?
Yes, one of the members of our board had a good experience with Lots® and when I meet Carl Filip Bergendal I really liked the approach. As I see it, Lots is an excellent tool. Carl Filip is pushing and helping us with our business plan. We now have set up a plan for the upcoming three years, and we meet two times a year for follow up.

 

What is the most important part for a management group working with Lots®?
The most important thing is that the CEO is a believer, and the plan has to be the bible. And I really believe in Lots®.
