PRI Pensionstjänst AB
PRI( PRI Pensionstjänst AB) is a pension administrator. It covers about 500.000 people in the 1200 largest companies in Sweden. The majority of corporations quoted on the Stockholm Stock Exchange’s high-turnover A-list are PRI clients.
Normally a company with an occupational pension scheme pays the funds allocated to its pensions to a pension company. Thanks to PRI a company may instead chose to retain these funds to finance its own business operations. PRI calculates the pension debt for the company and provides it with information for its budget, accounting and financial reporting. PRI was started in 1960. At that time, Swedish international companies needed the pension money to invest in their own fast growing businesses.

“When I came to PRI, once of the first things I did was to get help of Lots® and Scandinavian Leadership with the actual marketing and business plan. We had just gotten a new ITP-plan, (an agreement between the union and the businesses regarding the Industry’s extra pensions). In what ways has Lots® helped PRI?
“Well, to me Lots® has been very helpful. There members of my staff that are very familiar with the process. You cannot avoid certain questions; you have to go through the whole process. For me as a leader it is so easy to follow up things. I think it is an interesting method to work with.”
How do you do the follow up?
“We have meetings on a monthly basis, where we actually follow up the whole market plan, especially the goals and activities. It is very easy, as we cannot avoid those issues. In the course of a year, the world changes, and you have to work on your market and business plan all the time to stay current.
What in Lots® has made the most impact on you?
“It is very good; in Lots you get so much for free, you get the actual business idea, and you get the goals, the activities, the organization, and the knowledge about the market where you act. One thing that is very good with Lots is the SWOT. It is very helpful for the team, as everyone in the organization gets on the same platform. All of the employees have really appreciated Lots® as a marketing tool.
What is going on the PRI right now?
“We are in the process of merging two organizations into one. I think it is really important for us to start up from the same platform, which is why I now have involved Niclas Kristiansson and Charlotte Höije from Scandinavian Leadership as facilitators.
In the long perspective we wants to continue to be the warehouse for those companies who want to secure their pension without paying premiums to insurance companies so they are able to reinvest their money in their own business. We want to be the national partner for those companies.
